Hello! I’m Emma, joining Wetlands International Europe as a Freshwater Policy Intern. I’m currently completing my MSc in Urban Environmental Management at Wageningen University & Research, specialising in Environmental Policy. With a background in Biology, I’m passionate about using ecological science to inform and strengthen policy that protects ecosystems.
At Wetlands International Europe, I’ll be supporting work on EU freshwater policy, particularly the Water Framework Directive and the Nature Restoration Regulation. I’m eager to contribute to strategies, initiatives, and advocacy efforts that support the protection and restoration of Europe’s rivers, lakes, and wetlands.
