Amélie Tagu
Communications Officer
As Communications Officer for Wetlands International Europe, my role is to give visibility to the advocacy work carried out by my colleagues and to ensure that their messages reach the right audiences. This can be done by a wide variety of means, and I enjoy exploring different creative avenues.
I have a journalist background with a natural interest in audio-visual media such as radio and video. After several experiences abroad and a year volunteering in the Czech Republic, I felt the need to give an international dimension to my career.
In 2018, I came to Brussels to follow a Master’s degree at the Institute for European Studies (IEE-ULB) and specialised in European Politics. From there, I started working in political communications, first within the Greens/EFA in the European Parliament, then with the NGO EuroMed Rights, and in March 2024 I joined Wetlands International Europe.
Being personally sensitive to the effects of climate change on human rights, having a workplace that reflects my values is a great source of motivation.
