Arimbi  Aisyah

Global Europe Policy Assistant

[email protected]

Halo! I am Arimbi. I am pursuing a master’s in Forest and Nature Conservation at Wageningen University, specializing in Policy and Society. I joined Wetlands International Europe as a Global Europe Policy Assistant. I focus on the EU Deforestation-Free Regulation and the EU Critical Raw Materials Act and how these policies would impact wetlands globally.

Before starting my Master’s, I worked for several years for big mammals (tigers, rhinos, and elephants) conservation efforts in Sumatra, Indonesia, including national park management, stakeholder engagement, and conservation awareness-raising activities.

I am passionate about human-wildlife coexistence. In addition to my professional work, I like herping (exploring reptiles and amphibians in the wild), share knowledge about snakes and assist people in handling snakes safely and releasing them in the wild. I also love coffee!
