Today, March 14th, is the International Day of Action for Rivers – a time to celebrate and protect these vital lifelines that sustain both ecosystems and human communities.
In recent years, citizens around Europe have helped remove hundreds of obsolete barriers in order to restore free-flowing rivers, benefiting nature and people.
