Healthy waters are essential for human well-being, thriving ecosystems, and Europe’s resilience and global competitiveness. In this joint open letter, together with 17 public and private entities – including businesses, civil society organisations, and local authorities – we call for urgent action to address the long-delayed adoption of EU water pollution standards and to oppose proposals that would weaken and postpone the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (WFD).
