Update: European Rivers Summit 2021
Save the date! GEOTA, Wetlands International – European Association, EuroNatur, RiverWatch, WWF Adria and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation will host the second edition of the European Rivers Summit, from 20th to 22nd May 2021 in Lisbon, Portugal. This event was postponed from 2020 to 2021 due to covid-19.
Rivers are one of the most endangered ecosystems in the world. Join hundreds of river lovers and experts in this knowledge sharing and networking event on river protection.
Topics include climate change impact on freshwater resources, river protection and restoration measures including dam removal, perverse public subsidies for electricity production, and environmental justice.
