Giulietta Piegaja
Communications Assistant, Swimways
Ciao! I joined Wetlands International Europe as a Communications Assistant for the Trans-European Swimway Programme.
I am currently pursuing a double master’s degree at Wageningen University and Research specializing in Communication and Innovation and Marine Governance. This allows me to bring to the team a blend of scientific knowledge and communication skills.
My journey into environmental conservation began during my time as a Quality Controller in wild sockeye salmon fisheries in Alaska, where I gained valuable insights into fisheries management and sustainability. This experience, coupled with my passion for outdoor sports connected with water, particularly rowing, fuels my passion for Wetlands International Europe’s mission.
I’m excited to collaborate with the team and make a meaningful impact in promoting fish migration awareness and contributing to ecological restoration efforts within the Trans-European Swimway Programme. Let’s work together to create positive change!
