Hi everyone! My name is Mathieu Gasowski. I am at Wetlands International Europe as Peatlands Policy Assistant. I am excited to learn and contribute to the conservation of such a unique and important landscape in the fight against climate change.
I am currently finishing my Master’s degree in Climate Studies at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, where I studied climate adaptation and governance, as well as political ecology with a focus on water-related topics.
My grandparents live in England by some peatland hills and I have always loved long walks over there. Aside from this, I do obstacle course racing and am a big fan of French-Belgian comics!
