Hi! I’m Mathieu Gasowski, Junior Carbon Policy Officer.
I have a background in Climate Studies from Wageningen University, with a focus on the social impacts of water use. During my studies, I completed an internship with the peatlands team at Wetlands International Europe, where I closely followed the development of the Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Regulation. I have now rejoined the team, supporting advocacy efforts for the integration of peatland safeguards within this framework and other EU policies.
I am fluent in French and English, and speak some rudimentary Dutch and German.
I can be quite outdoorsy and like running and climbing, but otherwise can be found huddled on the sofa reading some French comics.
