The European Commission is set to publish on 22 June its “Nature Package”, including the proposal for a Nature Restoration Law which would set legally binding EU nature restoration targets.
In this open letter to the European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans, and Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius, a coalition of conservationists (including staff from Wetlands International), scientists and farmers calls on the European Commission to avoid delays and publish the proposals.
