100,000 people across Europe and beyond have joined the #ProtectWater campaign within a month after its launch. By signing up, they told the EU Commission to keep its water law strong for the protection of rivers, lakes and wetlands.
This great number shows that healthy freshwater ecosystems are of importance to European citizens. Wetlands International – together with 100 European NGOs – will continue efforts to engage people in the campaign and let them have their say through the EU public consultation.
