My name is Remco Haex, and I am delighted to have joined Wetlands International Europe in August 2022 as Financial Controller. My responsibility is the financial planning and control cycle and to monitor the financial position and results and support the management in controlling the financial household.
My background is accounting and control. I’ve started my career as an external auditor working at different audit firms and 2013 moved to the non-profit sector. I’ve worked at several NGO’s ( Cordaid, British Red Cross, Leonard Cheshire Disability), in different positions and have knowledge around auditing, budgeting and donor management.
In my spare time I enjoy being outside with our two little boys, love to travel and play Ultimate Frisbee (when I have time).
