Swimways Coordinator

I am ecologist with specialization in water management – wetlands, river restoration, and flood risk management. I have worked in environmental water quality monitoring for the Ontario, Canadian, and English governments, including both chemical analysis and biological identification of aquatic vegetation and macro-invertebrates. While with the Environment Agency in England, I monitored river levels and flows as well as short-term weather forecasts to predict peaks in river flows during floods.

My most recent experience was as a project manager for river monitoring and restoration works in England as well as international reports for the International Water Resources Association. In this role, I brought together diverse stakeholders to contribute to shared goals of improved water quality in the Thames region.

In my spare time, I seek out water activities, such as swimming, kayaking, and cycling along the rivers of Europe. I am passionate about preserving these beautiful ecosystems and the species that call them home.
