The papers published in the proceedings of this workshop provide insight into a wide spectrum of research activities. With most of the European experts assembled, the WSRG Coordinator took the chance to convene a round table discussion to update knowledge on population dynamics as a basis for wise use concepts, since these species are favoured gamebirds throughout their range.
